Our farmers are planting more botanicals to keep up with us, and we can make sure 9 MEADOWS is in bars, shops and online - making sure all you trailblazers are never far from your favorite alcohol-free brand!!
   
   The bees thank you as well! They are enjoying all the work FREETHEBEES are doing to help them in the wild, and are making sure all the plants are happy as well.

WHAT IS 9 MEADOWS ALL ABOUT?

9 MEADOWS. Created by responsible drinkers and thinkers who care about what's in our glasses and how it affects our tastebuds and our planet.

9 MEADOWS isn’t just an alternative to alcoholic spirits. We don’t taste like gin (or whiskey or vodka) because for that, well … there’s gin.

We are not there only to be consumed by the holder of the shortest straw, tonight’s driver or the calorie counter & we aren’t the second-best option you can take when alcohol simply isn’t one.

We could tell you a story about our owners, our hand distilling process using zero sugar, the provenance of our botanicals sourced from small local Swiss farmers, our commitment to local economies & sustainability, even down to our recycled glass bottles. Who knows, that might interest you but who are we to preach?

But we like to think you care more about what you are drinking - exquisite flavor, how it makes you feel and its effects the night before, the morning after and on the planet we all inhabit.

So, let’s drink to that shall we?

New beginnings, new habits, and a new approach to enjoyment.

HANDCRAFTED IN SWITZERLAND

We take wonderful Swiss botanicals, use traditional copper pot distillation, with pure Swiss water, to capture the essence of the mountains, and craft them into an alternative option to alcohol that is natural, enjoyable and surprising.

We are not trying to replicate your favorite tipple – because for that, well there is Gin etc. What we have done is to create a range of flavors that deliver what they promise, pair perfectly with your favorite mixer, and allow you to enjoy every moment without compromise.

SAVE THE BEES, SAVE THE PLANET

Through our cooperation with FREETHEBEES, a nonprofit organization promoting honey bees living in their natural habitat and supporting sustainable beekeeping, we actively support biodiversity and sustainability.

In addition, all our farmers follow sustainable farming practices, and our packaging and materials are selected to maximize recyclability and low environmental impact.

Even our bottle is made of recycled glass helping us to do our bit for the planet.

The flavors of fresh rosemary, orange mint and handpicked Swiss spruce tips, transports you an early morning walk through a high Alpine Forest.

CITRUS FIELDS:
Tangy lemon zest, citrus lemon balm, and Swiss elderflower remind us of the warmth of a summer day.

Hi, I am Pascal.

I grew up in Hamburg, but Switzerland means home to me now! And I love Swiss nature from the snow-capped mountain peaks to the alpine forests and crystal-clear lakes.

I worked for many years for a small start-up company. Not only did I enjoy being an underdog and being able to compete with the big players in the industry with high-quality products, but I also developed an absolute passion for natural products “Made in Switzerland”.

At 9 MEADOWS, we only process ingredients of which we are convinced of their high quality and sustainability. And because we also want to give something back, we help protect wild bees and their biotopes.

Having grown up and worked around the world, from the Far East to Middle East, Europe and across North and South America, I was always intrigued with different cultures and the foods and drinks that were unique to each region.

When I relocated to Switzerland from Brazil, with the influence of the Amazon and its rich bounty fresh in my mind, I wondered how we could harness Switzerland's equally unique and varied biodiversity to create a product that would surprise and delight consumers. Having searched for a healthy option to my usual alcoholic drink, along with many hikes in the hills and forests around Lake Zurich with Pascal, the idea formed to create an alcohol-free alternative, brimming with the flavors of the Alps, with botanicals sourced directly from farmers, and in tandem, support the biodiversity that Switzerland is renowned for. 

When we looked at what was available though, everything was about trying to replicate something that is hard to copy, and that always leads to disappointment (for me at least). If it says “Alcohol-Free Gin” you expect it to taste like Gin, and it doesn’t. 

So, we embarked on different path, a path dedicated not to copying what is already out there, but a new fork in the road, influenced by the nature around us and the feelings it elicits; A walk through the forest in the morning after a fresh rain, a sunny day high on a ski run, a stroll through a citrus grove on a summer`s day. 

Our goal is not to copy, but to create – new flavors, a new social order at the bar (home bars included), and a focus on the nature that gives us everything around us.

We can’t do it without you, so here’s to all the trailblazers among you who care about what's in our glasses and how it affects our taste buds and our planet.
