CHF 120
After a long search, we have found a new location for the women of Soufra Catering in the Burj el Barajneh refugee camp. For the purchase and renovation of the building we now need a total of 85'000 Swiss Francs. In addition to a larger kitchen, there is also space for a cafeteria, which will become the first meeting place for women in the camp. Please help us to offer the refugee women in Beirut the urgently needed perspective.
100% funded
The building costs a total of CHF 75,000. The large part of this amount has already been financed, 30,000 francs are still missing. I.e. with the first stage of crowdfunding we can completely finance the purchase.
100% funded
The cost of the renovation is estimated at the equivalent of about 45,000 francs.
To secure the renovation, we divide the renovation costs into two stages. So with 52,500 francs, half of the renovation is done.
100% funded
The second half of the renovation costs of CHF 45,000, which we have to raise in addition to the purchase of the house. Once we have reached this amount, the financing of the entire renovation is secured!
100% funded
The building bought and renovated, only the interior finishing is missing. In cooperation with a Lebanese interior designer, the women of Soufra have drawn up a plan of what their future cafeteria should look like. The costs for the interior fittings amount to about 10,000 Swiss francs.
With the total amount of 85'000 Swiss Francs we can make the dream of Mariam and the whole Soufra team come true. Merci beaucoup for your support!
Cuisine sans frontières invites to the table to resolve conflicts and foster community spirit. Cooking and eating together improves our quality of life: conversations take place, relationships are built and problems solved, thereby strengthening the foundations of every community. These everyday experiences form the base of Cuisine sans frontières’ activities.
Csf builds gastronomic meeting places and training facilities in areas of (social) conflict, always in cooperation with a local partnering organisation. Our goal is at all times to secure the long-term independent economic sustainability of the projects.
Cooking and eating together has the power to change the world for the better. The projects of Cuisine sans frontières have already shown this in some places, hopefully soon also in Lebanon!
