soon it has been four years since we released our highly appreciated debut album «acts of love». the first single, «love will find you» still gets airplay at several radio stations.
but of course we didn't just rest on our laurels, we were working step by step on our second album: writing songs, texting, arranging, rehearsing - and now we're ready: we have 14 brand new songs just waiting to be recorded and mastered in a studio!
here's a little taste of how it might sound, we put together a compilation of three songs, played at a live concert:

to make an album is always a strenuous effort for an independent band. especially since we don't want a budget-album, our goal is a professional recording just like the first album. the arrangements, the recordings, the mastering, the printing of the cd and the promotion, it all costs a lot of money. too much money for us to pay everything on our own.

hi there, we're mellowtone: matthias, martina, mirco, ives und beat.
mellowtone is a swiss band from the canton of fribourg. the name means smooth, sweet and lovely. how that matches with bits of blues, rock and indie, who influence the pop-songs of mellowtone? easy, the melody gives every song his very unique touch. mellowtone, that's catchy music. soft passion, without frills but endlessly versatile - marked by the strong voice of martina birbaum.
we released our debut-album «acts of love» in 2011 and immediately started working on a second album. but since we paid the first cd on our own, our band account is still kind of red so we can't afford another cd - that's why we need your suppport: click through to find out more about us and our music!
