Project Overview

In Buhoma village everything has come to a halt since the covid-19 pandemic. Usually people make their living from tourists coming here to see the gorillas. The project is designed to help the people have a new source of income during the crisis. With the construction of a Webshop, the artists in Buhoma will have a chance to sell their art all over the world. From each sale a percentage goes into an existing project to buy food other families.

Webare Munonga is what the BuhomARTist team says to all our supporters!! Thank you very much!! Its really motivating to see how many people believe in our project! But even with the first goal reached, we still have a long way to go: the artists are enthusiastically working with the materials that they have left - so they are ready to sell some of their art. So if anybody is interested in buying some wonderful gorilla or other wildlife art, don’t hesitate to contact us.
If we can get some more extra money, we can have a professional website done and we will donate a part directly into their charity fund.
