Funding goals

1. Stage 1:

   5.000 CHF

   100% funded

   If we reach the first stage, we could pay for the basic needs such as rent, video- & photographer, as well as DJ & moderation.

2. Stage 2:

   10.000 CHF

   3% funded

   With the second stage we could cover the meals for the choreographers and dancers as well as their expenses. A budget for the promotion of the event would also be available.

3. Stage 3:

   15.000 CHF

   0% funded

   The third stage would allow us to offer the choreographers training rooms to rehearse their show. We could also give all participants a small goodie as a thank you.

4. Finish Stage:

   20.000 CHF

   0% funded

   If we could reach our Crowdify goal of CHF 20,000, it would cover our own expenses and give us a cushion for further projects (Choreographers Day, Choreographers Talk, International Choreographers Night).

What is the Choreographers Night?

Music and dance have always moved people.

The Choreographers Night offers a platform for Swiss choreographers and dancers to share their common passion and for mutual support.
Once a year, the Choreographers Night takes place as a showcase with the aim of bringing together the extremely talented and motivated Swiss dance community. At the same time, the Choreographers Night is intended to give the audience an insight into the world of dance and choreography. At the end of the showcase - contrary to the usual dance competitions - there is neither a winner nor a prize because the aim is to bring together a wide variety of dancers, choreographers and people interested in dance in order to promote exchange and to emphasize the importance of the dancer and the choreographer in Swiss society.

Who are we?

In short, we are three young passionate dancers with a great vision for the Swiss dance scene and its potential. We ourselves have often had to fight for our career and our position. That's why we want to use our association and the annual showcase to raise awareness of dance and make it easier for future generations of choreographers and dancers.

What is our motivation?

As always, the focus is on the performing choreographers and their dancers. Our goal is to present their excellent work and thus be able to offer them more reach. Potential engagements would be the non-plus-ultra. Nevertheless, the 5th anniversary is also a big stepping stone for us in the direction of our vision.

Why do we need your support?

Organizing such a dance showcase comes with a lot of expenses. From the rent, to photographers and videographers, to the promotion, we need financial resources for this. However, this year it is very important to us to be able to offer the more than 70 participants expenses, catering on site and training rooms for rehearsing their shows.

The association Choreographers Night was founded by three friends. Alicia, Mike & Marcelo are professional dancers/choreographers and have been in the business for years. They have made it their goal to offer the small but very talented Swiss dance scene a platform and thus strengthen their position in society. Their vision is to increase the status of dancers and choreographers in Switzerland and thus to offer a hub for all dance-related matters.

At the age of 14 I discovered my love for dancing. This love has accompanied me through all aspects of my life ever since. Seven years ago, together with Alicia & Marcelo, I started the association Choreographers Night and organized an annual dance showcase. Now the 5th anniversary is just around the corner, which we want to celebrate extensively in order to be able to offer the choreographers and dancers an even bigger platform and range.

As the daughter of the owner of a dance school, the rhythm was put into my cradle, so to speak. During and after my biology studies, I continued to educate myself in various dance styles such as house, salsa, jazz funk and commercial at home and abroad. I danced with various groups and shows in Switzerland and stood on various stages such as the Swiss Music Awards or with Dj Bobo. Since I could never get used to the idea of ​​competition, I founded the association Choreographers Night with Marcelo & Mike with the aim of creating a platform that enables Swiss choreographers and dancers to present their art in a non-judgmental environment.

Dancing has been a constant companion since I was a child. I have been working professionally as a dancer for 11 years now. I've always been bothered by the competitive spirit in the Swiss dance scene and that's why I wanted to create a non-judgmental platform for dancers and choreographers. Now the 5th anniversary is just around the corner, which should be a stepping stone for the participants as well as for us & our future.
