Florence Biennale
Connecting with the artistic heritage and presenting my work
Project Overview
Hi! I’m Ivan, a Vienna-based artist. I am asking you to support my participation in the Florence Biennale to which I was already invited. It is one of the most recognized international art exhibitions taking place in Oct 2023. Not only is it a prestigious event that attracts artists from around the world, it also provides a platform to showcase my work to a global audience. For me, Florence is the birthplace of Renaissance and a key inspiration!
Funding goals
-
Stage 1:
2.000 EUR
100% funded
This amount will allow me to participate in the Florence Biennale, exhibit my work on a small scale and also interact with participants and interested parties throughout the week as part of the Biennale.
It also will allow me to interact with you and the rest of the boosters and get inspired again in Florence, the Mecca of the Renaissance, and also tell you about the influences by the great masters on my work. I am looking forward to keep you posted! -
Stage 2:
4.000 EUR
100% funded
If the second stage is financed, I will use the additional funds to present my paintings on a larger scale at the Biennale, i.e. I will have a larger exhibition space to present my body of work.
-
Finish Stage:
6.000 EUR
9% funded
With a successful third stage of financing, in addition to participation in the Florence Biennale, I can commit to also publish a unique Biennale Edition, signed and in an edition of 50 as a silkscreen or lithograph, produced for interested art lovers or collectors.
Boosters for the top goodies (the original, the tracing paper and the meet-the-artist tours in the Florence museums) will also receive a signed copy of the edition.
I’m Ivan, an Austrian artist, now living with my family in Vienna. I am asking you to support my participation in the Florence Biennale, one of the most recognized international art exhibitions which will take place in October 2023. Not only is it a prestigious event that attracts artists from around the world and provides a platform to showcase my work to a global audience, for me, Florence is the birthplace of Renaissance and a key inspiration for my own work.
The idea for this project developed during COVID, a difficult time for any artist, where I the profound impact lockdowns and social distancing rules had not only on connecting with the artworld, but also on the artistic process and vision itself. Being unable to visit cities and museums of inspiration, having limited freedom to connect and thrive through inspiration with others led to the idea to become more proactive again and visit the key metropoles and participate in events as the 2023 Florence Biennale.
So it became a project, for which I am working closely with my family and especially the youngest generation (my grandchildren) to also learn about new and innovative ways to get support. So here we are, this is the first social media and crowdfunding exercise in my life, exciting, new and somewhat frightening as well, and I enjoy it! It would be great if you support my campaign!
2. The second part, funding my participation and exhibition, is where I am asking for your help
In this project, I am asking you to support my participation in the Florence Biennale, one of the most recognized international art exhibitions which will take place from 14-22. October this year. Not only is a prestigious event that attracts artists from around the world and provides a platform for them to showcase their work to a global audience, for me Florence is the birthplace of Renaissance and a key inspiration for my own work and development. Hence, I want to participate, live and breathe Florence and immerse myself in the city’s unique and rich artistic Renaissance heritage, while connecting with as many artists, collectors and interesting people as possible.
I do appreciate if you can support my campaign goal and hope that the goodies also are attractive to you and any human interested in art. I selected them myself and with the exception of the postcards they are all unique works of art, all pieces that have their own individual story.
Happy to share them with you!
Hi,
I’m Ivan, an Austrian artist, now living with my family in Vienna. My love is art and painting in particular, with my style dating back to Renaissance and Baroque, linking it to the present in my newer work.

It would be great if you support my campaign!
Hi everyone,
We are Viara, Sophia, Anna and Andreas and together with the whole family we are supporting Ivan in his first crowdfunding campaign! For us, it is a great experience and to be able to support Ivan's goal to attend the Biennale in Florence, especially through social media and innovative funding methods. It is a lot of fun and we hope that you will support us and Ivan's dream to travel to Florence - the city and birthplace of the Renaissance - and to exhibit his paintings there.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Follow our story!
