Help support Vrouva Farm! My name is Marianne and in addition to my work as a wedding photographer, I am dedicated to my passion project: supporting Vrouva Farm on the Greek island of Aegina. This farm is a sanctuary for over a hundred animals that have been rescued from dire circumstances - from abandoned street dogs to animals that have escaped from cruel conditions.

Dog food, cat food and medication for all animals - these are the things that are always most urgently needed at Vrouva Farm. The farm is characterised by the fact that each animal receives exactly the care and support it needs.
The animals are fed high-quality food, receive comprehensive medical care, are vaccinated and neutered. Thanks to your support, the people who work for the animals from dawn to dusk all year round can take a deep breath and relax for a moment from the daily challenges. This work requires an enormous amount of energy and commitment - help us to take some of the burden off the shoulders of Vrouva Farm so that the animals can continue to be cared for so well.

Here we plan to install a solar system to generate much-needed green electricity for the farm, as the farm is high up on the hill and has no access to electricity. The solar panels and associated wiring in each accommodation - whether for the dogs or the people who work here - will provide light. Especially in winter, when it gets dark early, this is invaluable as it allows the carers to look after the animals safely in the late hours and make the most of the day.
The solar system will also allow us to start up important equipment. A fridge in which we can safely store medicines and perishable food, as well as an on-site washing machine to facilitate the daily washing of blankets and care utensils. Hygiene in particular is crucial to providing the animals with a healthy environment and improving their quality of life on the farm.
Thanks to the self-generated electricity, we can also reduce costs and invest the money saved directly in the care of the animals. The solar system is therefore an important step towards strengthening Vrouva Farm in the long term.

A stable, more reliable water supply is urgently needed, especially given the extremely hot summers. Water is absolutely essential for Vrouva Farm:
With a stable water supply, we can keep the animals cool on the hottest days, keep their enclosures moist, and prevent heat-related deaths. In addition, we need water for daily care and hygiene—for drinking, cleaning the stalls and shelters, and also for the people who dedicate themselves to the animals’ well-being every day. A robust water supply means safety and protection, allowing the farm to continue its work even in the hottest months of the year without ever compromising the animals’ welfare.
Please help us ensure we can get through the summer safely.

A new feed house will be completed to accommodate the storage of sufficient feed and hay for the animals. With the large number of animals on Vrouva Farm, a significant amount of food is required.
Not only will this feeder provide the animals with a constant supply of food, but it will also ensure that the food stays fresh and is not damaged by the elements. A well-protected supply of hay and feed is important for animal well-being, especially in the colder months when food intake increases and when the animals are happy, so are we. Please help us get through the winter.
By building the feed house, we can optimize the care of the animals and at the same time make work processes on the farm easier. The distances become shorter and so it saves time for many other important things to do.

Volunteer support is crucial as they play a vital role in the care and maintenance of the animals. Without them, it would be almost impossible to cope with the demands of caring for so many animals.
It is important that our volunteers, who often come from far away, have good accommodation so that they can recover after a long day of work. We would love to welcome more volunteers and offer them an experience with the animals here.

And of course, let's go back to point 1: We need more food & donations to cover vet costs and castrations :D
Thank you for your donation!
Help support Vrouva Farm!
My name is Marianne, and in addition to my work as a wedding photographer, I am dedicated to my heart's project: supporting Vrouva Farm on the Greek island of Aegina. This farm is a refuge for over a hundred animals that have been rescued from poor conditions - from abandoned street dogs to animals that have escaped from cruel conditions.
At Vrouva Farm, dogs, horses, donkeys, pigs, cats, chickens, goats and sheep not only find a safe home, but also the attention and care that they so desperately need.
This farm offers a safe home to animals in need. Many of them are unwanted or have been exploited. Here they find the love and care they deserve.
But in order to maintain this special place and continue to improve the animals' living conditions, we depend on a lot of support.
With your support, we can strengthen Vrouva Farm and continue to create a place where compassion for animals comes first. Every donation helps to support this important project and give the animals a better life.
The people who work on the farm do their best day and night to preserve this place and give the animals a better future.

I am Marianne, 44 years old and a photographer, I mainly photograph weddings, but I also support a project in Greece. The Vrouva Farm on Aegina is where I adopted my two dogs, who are both blind.
I have captured the moments of the farm to give you an insight in the heart of these place.
As the manager of the Vrouva Farm, I see myself as the heart and coordinator of our crowdfunding project. My job is to convey the story and the urgent needs of the farm and to reach as many people as possible who share our vision. I want to present the lives of the animals and the work we do here every day in a transparent and authentic way - so that it is clear how much a donation can achieve.
