Project Overview
I help orphans and street children in the Philippines since many years. We have a few babies with Cheilognathopalatoschisis (open pine and palate). They need to be operated as soon as possible. Please see the added pictures. This children are punished for life if they have this marks in theyr face. Please help me that this children can have a normals life. Since I lived in Asia with my family in the 80th, I'm helping street children in the Philippines. Giving them shelter, food, clothes, education and of course lots of love. Can you imagine exposing, selling or move away and let your child behind, alone in the dirty streets, without protection against violence, been beeted, hungry, naked?
Please, help us helping this poorest of the poor. As you can see, we do no need any luxury, our shower is outside, we have simple rooms. Privacy is only protectet by a plastic awning, where we also wash our clothes. But we are content if our children have two meals a day, education, proper clothes, and of course our love.
The house stand into water to prevent mise, snakes and other animals entering. Cleaning the water ones a week is necessary, to keep everything nice and clean. The children are helping with fun (see picture).

If a child is marked with open hearlips, his family is afraid of beeing bewitched. No school will give them the opportunitiy for education, this children have no friends, no place to be. This superstition is spread all over the country. We want that a child, stricken like this, have a safe future. For this, the babys have to be operated very soon, when they reach 5 kg. Later they need additional operations and at the age of 9 or 10 we can do a finishing and ajusting operation.
As you see on the video, also very poor children have the right to have fun. If they look like the others they are accepted. 5 of this children have had operations and now they look like every one else and no one will tell them "you witch, or you are from devil".

Many of the girls are abused by man. Either in theyr proper family or from strangers. If they get pregnant, what should they do with the baby. Throw it in a waste-pipe is the easiest way to get rid of. But the young mothers can bring the babys to our babyhouse and we take care of them. We have had a 14 year old girl, giving birth to Bella (see picture 1, Bella 1 day old). This little girl have the right to survive, and also her mother have rights. Even if she is abonded from her family, she can survive with our and YOUR help.
We take care of the baby, and the mother can stay in our orphanage and go to school. May first time in her life. And in the future we hope she will be able to take care of her daughter. As Aileen, we have a lot of girls in the same situation. Our youngest is 12 years old, violated from her own father, she was pregnant with twins (see picture 2). Her mother brought her to us, asking for help. We will help as much as we can, but first this father have to be announced to the police. There is a new law say that violation is prohibited and violaters can be condemned to prison for up to 10 years. This is not enough, this girls are suffering theyr life long. But at least this three babies have a good future.

Almost all the village have been affected from a typhoon a few years ago. We helped to build houses with I-Tong stones, which are more robust then the one on cardboard and paper. The people are so grateful for any helping hand. If we can help the familys we help the children.

As I was living in Asia with my family in the 80th last century, we visited the Philippines for holidays. We saw hungry children in the street, without clothes and shelter. I started giving them T-Shirts, trousers, babybooks and one cup of rice per day. Over the years it became a orphanage.
We have now a few babys with havy deformity, which must be operated. And for this I need your help, please!
