We love activity, sport and nature. Muon Ecofunctional Wear is the label for sustainable performance wear, naturally efficient and 100% without plastic. Thanks to New Age Fibers of botanical origin instead of polyester, lycra & Co. In short, no petrol-based synthetic fibers that harm the environment and our health. For revolutionary textiles in sports and active life - environmentally friendly, comfortable and extremely high performance.

We love to move. Activity and sports. Functional clothing helps us get the best out of our performance. But what if that means causing a lot of damage? Synthetic textiles harm the environment and our health. We want to change that. Muon is the label for efficient and sustainable Functional Clothes - 100% free of plastic or other petrol-based plastics.
Why are we doing this? We are convinced that it needs a real alternative in the sportswear market, which today is dominated by synthetic fibres and sometimes precarious production conditions. Most fairly produced natural materials such as organic cotton or pure wool - without polyester blend - are not well suited for sportswear.
Muon Ecofuntional Wear uses natural fibres of botanical origin which become revolutionary textiles for sports and active life. Environmentally friendly, fair and climate-friendly production - thanks to cellulose from rapidly renewable, sustainable resources.
The functionality of New Age Fibers is convincing: they are breathable, temperature regulating, moisture absorbing, antibacterial, smooth and pleasant on the skin. Made for Activity. And all this without polyester, lycra, acrylic or other synthetic fibres.
With the Crowdfunding we are investing the first Essential Collection of sportswear. The most important basics for activities like running, workout, yoga and versatile performance wear. This is scheduled for release in autumn 2020.
Our limited edition of T-shirts made of Tencel/Lyocell will be available before then. It was created by various visual artists and designers especially for Muon Crowdfunding. With your boost, you can get these goodies.

Synthetic clothing means that microfibres and thus numerous plastic particles are released into the drain with every wash. On an average wash cycle, this amounts to around 138,000 fibres from polyester blended fabrics, and in the case of textiles made of pure polyester or acrylic even 730,000 fibres. The sewage plants are unable to filter out the tiny microplastics. So it ends up in open waters and through sewage sludge on our fields.
In contrast to other functional clothing providers, Muon does not use synthetic fibres such as polyester, lycra, nylon etc. Our fabrics made of Tencel, Lyocell, Modal or Seacell are produced in a particularly environmentally and climate-friendly way. They even need about 10 times less water than cotton, and do not use any harmful colorants or softeners. This even makes them biodegradable. And the best thing is: zero microplastics that end up in the environment, waste water or on our skin.

Muon's sustainability inspires - not only us: Design Muon! is the special collection for our crowdfunding. Visual artists, designers and illustrators from Switzerland have supported us for this. And created custom motifs for this series of T-shirts made of Lyocell. Seven designs were chosen for the Limited Edition, each shirt contributes to the financing of the first production series of Muon Ecofunctional Wear. You can get these as well as the simple Plain Black Shirt as goodies by backing our crowdfunding.
