Project Overview
We are on a mission to bring healthier ready-to-drink coffee with functional ingredients to coffee lovers across Switzerland and Europe! Our co-founder Paul, both a scientist and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, spent years perfecting a homemade recipe for a delicious, healthy, plant-based coffee. The result is our “plant power-coffee” which is designed to keep you energized throughout the day whilst providing additional health benefits.

Who wants to choose between flavours when you can have more than one extra! This will allow us to produce two new flavours!
Ready-to-drink coffee options currently on the market contain artificial ingredients, fail to meet the shift towards healthier plant-based diets and are lacking innovation. Products tend to use artificial sweeteners and recurring feedback is that these products are “too sweet” or “too synthetic”.
This is why we have developed our “plant power-coffee” which is a tasty, planet-friendly and energizing ready-to-drink coffee based on 5 key ingredients:
Cold-brew coffee
- High quality coffee sustainably sourced to create the optimal coffee experience
Plant protein
- Pea protein flows in seamlessly with the other ingredients and gives you additional protein to get you through your day
Oat milk
- Tasty alternative to cow’s milk that has a significantly lower carbon footprint
Agave syrup
- Natural sweetener to balance the bitterness of the coffee, with a very low glycemic index (GI)
Medium-Chain Triglyceride (MCT) oil
- Derived from coconut oil, MCT oil supports both athletic and cognitive performance

Medium-Chain Triglyceride (MCT) oil
- Derived from coconut oil, MCT oil supports both athletic and cognitive performance
MCT oil is a healthy fat derived coconuts and combining this with coffee can have numerous benefits:
- MCT oil can slow down the rate at which your body breaks down and absorbs caffeine, which can result in a prolonged energy boost without the crash
- Has the potential to provide benefits for weight loss due to easy digestion
- Source of energy during workouts due to the ability to be quickly converted into energy
- Able to reduce lactate buildup in athletes
- MCT oil can slow down the rate at which your body breaks down and absorbs caffeine, which can result in a prolonged energy boost without the crash

All of our ingredients are plant-based, and we continually strive to minimize our carbon footprint. Whether it’s through our packaging, our ingredients or our supply chain, sustainability remains one of our core guiding principles.

- Oat milk emits c. 4x less CO2 vs. cow’s milk (per kg)
- Pea protein uses c. 11x less water vs. cow’s milk protein (per kg)
- Our packaging is 100% recyclable, and our packaging material is FSC certified ensuring that the wood fibre is sourced from responsibly managed forests

We have spent a lot of time collecting feedback from customers to understand what they like about our product and what they would like to see improved. We have taken this feedback and developed a new enhanced recipe which we would like to produce on a full scale with the aim of then launching our product across Switzerland. Funding from the Crowdify will mainly help us with the production of this new recipe. Additionally, it will support our marketing as well as distribution efforts.

We are a young Swiss start-up based in Zurich called nutru. nutru aims to provide products that taste great, provide health benefits and meet the ongoing shift towards a healthier diet.
We initially founded nutru because we noticed a gap in the market - healthy food and beverage options often lacked flavor, and tasty snacks or drinks weren't good for our bodies. So we wanted to do something about this.
