I am a volunteer in a day centre for migrants where I got to know Mr Salloum, a Syrian refugee who arrived in Switzerland in September 2016. His family is in Damascus, Syria, and he is extremely worried about them. His wife, Hanan Awad, 37 years, suffers from a serious cardiac condition and urgently needs an operation. She takes care of their two children, Amir 5 years et Noor 3 years. The hospitals in Damascus are over-loaded and haven't been able to accept Hanan. Her only option is to go to a private hospital in Damascus, or in the neighboring Jordan or Lebanon. But a precise diagnosis Ãs very expensive, approximately CHF5000 and an operation at least CHF7000. The family cannot afford to pay for them.
Let's help one Syrian mother so that she can get better and continue to take care of her children! Mr Salloum will be very grateful for every single donation, big or small.
