We - that's Jasmin and Nicolas can be so cheap, because we do everything ourselves - from the shop system to marketing, sales and warehousing. Therefore we have low costs and despite our small startup we can actually be cheaper than the big chains.
We will mainly give you big packs from 500g, because we don't agree with the small pack sizes at often completely exaggerated prices. With the NussFee we want to make it possible for everyone to buy vegetable proteins, superfoods and dried fruits in organic quality, because especially for families with a small budget it is often hardly possible to eat enough organic food.
We do not produce a single gram of new plastic, because there are already many alternative solutions for a plastic-free world. These are minimally more expensive, but as most companies strive to maximise profits, this is often at the expense of our environment and therefore at the expense of our beautiful earth.
While our travels we became aware of the fragility of the environment. We stopped eating meat and started to read up on environmental issues. We find it frightening that up to now hardly any large suppliers have managed to replace the plastic in their packaging.
So we want to show that even small suppliers can produce and ship without plastic and hope to inspire others.
Until we will be online, we'll have a corresponding climate compensation in place. That's a promise!
Oceancare.org has researched that Switzerland is one of the top 3 plastics consumers in the world with over 1 million tons of plastic per year, 40% is used for packaging material alone.
A meagre 10% of this is actually recycled, the majority is simply incinerated - which in turn releases a lot of CO2. All the more so as around 100,000 tonnes are exported abroad, where there is no guarantee of what will happen to them afterwards. And even in the beautiful Swiss countryside, according to the Swiss Litter Report, a frightening 10,000 - 13,000 kg of plastic waste ends up on the shores of lakes and rivers every month.
But why not simply use organic plastics?
The basis of the bio-packaging material is basically renewable raw materials such as corn or sugar cane, which are then processed into a durable bio-plastic. Although this saves petroleum and has a better CO2 balance, these raw materials generally come from conventional monocultures, are therefore contaminated with pesticides, over-fertilised and not GMO-free. The loss of land for food production is also problematic when using organic packaging.
In our search for suitable packaging for our needs, we have discovered that actually almost all organic packaging always has an inner layer of bio-polypropylene (PP) or PLA. As these have a similar durability and environmental impact in recycling, we could not in good conscience call this "plastic-free".
The packaging material we use is made of 100% recycled cellulose, is fully biodegradable and can therefore either be composted, disposed of in waste paper or even burned on a campfire with a reasonably clear conscience.
Among other things we will carry the following:
Cashew nuts, pistachios, pine nuts, figs, dates, flaxseeds, walnuts, pecan and Brazil nuts, macadamias, mangos, cranberries, hazelnuts, psyllium husks, tigernuts, blue poppy seeds, tartaric acid baking powder, drunk. Blueberries, coconut chips, chia and hemp seeds, goji and aronia berries, coconut blossom sugar, apple rings, apple chips, physialis, banana chips and coins, black and white mulberries, mango strips, pineapple rings, apricots, coconut chips, gluten-free baking mixtures and much more - all in organic quality without any additives or sweeteners, as well as some in raw vegetables and/or Demeter quality - simply pure nature.
We also always prefer goods from the European area, in order to keep the transport routes as short as possible.
We believe that it is not acceptable for a steak to cost less than the same amount of organic nuts. Because the resources that have to be spent on meat are many times higher.
Dried fruit is a great snack and a great alternative to fatty chips or sugary sweets. Not only do they provide quick energy, they also provide long-lasting satiety and even help with weight control (googleogle for weight reduction with nuts).
Simply pure nature - simply raw (be sure to try our dried mangoes - you never want to eat anything else!)
Superfoods are not called that for nothing. Because they are brimming with valuable ingredients such as minerals, vitamins, fibre and antioxidants. Only in organic quality are they often priceless, especially in Switzerland. We want to change that.
Nuts - Dried fruit - Superfoods- Organic -Plastic-free - Vegan
The first plastic-free organic online shop for nuts, dried fruit, superfoods and very special, home-made nut-fruit mixes with an incredible number of delicious ingredients at unbeatable prices in larger and above all sustainable, plastic-free packaging.
Sustainability also in online trade - that's what we stand for with the NussFee.
After my apprenticeship as an IT specialist, I studied business information technology (BSc) and have been working in IT for many years now. Therefore I am responsible for the operation of the shop and marketing.
As an outdoor sportsman I have always loved nature and like to spend the weekends in the mountains or camping. On our wedding world trip I became aware of the fragility of the environment and the massive influence of mankind.
For many years I suffered from a whole range of allergies and food intolerances. It was only after a complete cure through a change of diet that I realised first hand what an immensely important role this plays in terms of a healthy, fit and happy life.
In combination with Jasmin as a trained cook we are a good team to run an online shop for organic food.
I am a trained and passionate chef and come from an organic company. I have always been involved with organically produced food. It always brings a smile to my face when I visit a fruit and vegetable market. I also have always had a special love for delicious and practical food and I am very happy to introduce the NussFee to you. I am responsible for the creation of the nut mixes, product management and sales.
