Peaceconcerts worldwide
A concert-relay goes around the world - and you can join it!
Project Overview
With a global peace concert on the World Peace Day we want to set a musical sign against war, violence and displacement, under which millions of people suffer. The choral work "The Peacemakers" by Karl Jenkins will be heard in 24 hours as a choral relay, moving from country to country around the world. To be able to broadcast the concerts, we need your support!
But already at 10 am Swiss time the torch will be lit with the concert of two choirs in New Zealand. Via Australia, Japan, India, Armenia, Palestine, Tanzania, Germany, Holland, France and Argentina, the music circles the world until it ends in Canada. To witness this worldwide connection and desire for peace, the concerts from all countries will be broadcast. You can be there live via our website or in front of the Jesuit Church in Lucerne.
If more donations are received, we will be able to cover further costs that are still open and will be borne by the initiators. For example, choir expenses, the rent of the event location or printing costs.
Concerned about the numerous conflicts in the world, the association "TimeDate" has been working voluntarily since 2019 for the unique peace project of a worldwide performance of "The Peacemakers" by Karl Jenkins. TimeDate is responsible for the concert in Lucerne and coordinates all the concerts worldwide. We are convinced that this musical message will leave its mark around the world and that making music together can change the world in a positive way.
Growing up and living in a peaceful environment is a basic need of all people and connects us worldwide. Thus, the project "TimeDate Music" connects the voices of people who dream of peace for all - just as I dream of it. That is why I have been committed to this unique project since 2020.
The idea of hearing peace voices from the work THE PEACEMAKERS around the globe, during 24h on the same day, touched me deeply.
To let the voices for peace sound with united forces - from continent to continent, as a cultural peace action of many people - that nourishes my commitment!
