Internships in Psychology

Help us bring to life an internship program for psychology students at our kindergarden 'Gotitas de Agua' in a poor neighbourhood in Lima. The program consists of three full-time interns for one year, who require the internship to graduate in psychology. The students work under the guidance of Milagros, our head of psychology.

Three good reasons why the internship program is a force for good:

1. Three psychology students with little means get the opportunity to graduate.

2. Our kids work with role models, who demonstrate that education is a way to escape poverty.

3. Our head of psychology Milagros receives the support she needs to give our kids and their families the help they need to cope with the difficulties of their lives marked by poverty and violence.

Who we are:

Dorothee, Marie-Laure and Nadja studied together International Relations in Geneva. While Marie-Laure and Nadja went on to work for 'big business', Dorothee started her own NGO 'Gotas de Agua' that set-up the Kindergarten 'Gotitas' in Lima, Peru. After three years working on the ground in Lima, Dorothee left the day-to-day operations of 'Gotitas' in the capable hands of the local team and is now working for the Swiss State Secretary for Migration.
