Singing lesson with our singer Nongoma Ndlovu
AVAILABLE ONLY IN SWITZERLAND AND LONDON (on the day of our gig at Jazz Café: Saturday, November 30)
Meet Nongoma Ndlovu, the multi-talented artist who's got it all: keyboardist, vocalist, songwriter, sound designer, DJ, and producer. Born in Hamburg, Germany, to the legendary South African-Zimbabwean musicians Themba and Bajabulile Ndlovu—founders of the iconic band Children of Nandi—Nongoma's musical journey started early. Growing up in a music-infused household, with the world as her playground, she was destined for a career in sound that’s been going strong for over a decade.
In 2006, she returned to South Africa and began making waves, collaborating with artists like Nothende, Spoek Mathambo, and The Rudimentals. She’s graced stages at major festivals like Rocking the Daisies, Castle Light Festival (where she shared the spotlight with Nas, Wiz Khalifa, and Timbaland in 2014), and Synergy Festival.
Nongoma didn't stop there. She teamed up with her sister, Nandi Ndlovu, to launch a new project called KAJAMA. Their debut EP, *Polarity Prism*, caught the attention of Okay Africa and Afro Punk, and the duo went on to rock festivals like Oppikoppi, FakuGesi Block Party, and even the Design Indaba. They also took their sound international, performing at the A Piece in Art Festival in Basel, Switzerland, in collaboration with the Goodman Gallery.
Now based back in Switzerland, Nongoma is diving into fresh creative projects. She opens up new musical dimensions to the music of Konkolo Orchestra. And on stage she shows her talent as a front woman and entertainer.
Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to learn from a vocalist who was truly born to sing!
