Join us in transforming waste management in Pobè into a powerful pathway for job creation, benefiting women and youth. Our project focuses on improving living conditions by turning waste into reusable products, such as compost for agriculture, eco-charcoal, biogas, and unique art objects. Together, we can create a cleaner environment and new opportunities for our community!

The first phase of our project aims to train 20 youth on waste collection procedures in Pobè. This training will provide them with the skills needed to effectively manage waste collection, while raising awareness in the community about the importance of responsible waste management.
To ensure the success of this initiative, we need essential equipment, including tricycles for transporting waste, uniforms to identify collectors, as well as bins, shovels and other tools.
This phase is crucial not only to create green jobs for youth, but also to improve living conditions in the city by reducing unsanitary conditions. By investing in their training and providing them with the necessary equipment, we are laying the foundations for sustainable waste management that will benefit the entire community.

The second phase of the project focuses on raising awareness in the Pobè community about the importance of recycling and proper waste management. We will organize community workshops to educate the population on the dangers of illegal dumping and the benefits of recycling, accompanied by informative brochures and posters.
In parallel, 20 vulnerable people (10 men and 10 women) will be trained in techniques for transforming waste into compost and eco-charcoal. These practical workshops will include waste collection, sorting and composting methods, with monitoring to assess the impact.
In addition, we will create local working groups to promote these practices within the community. The objective is to raise awareness among at least 500 people and build the capacities of participants, who will become agents of change. By reducing waste in nature and increasing the production of compost and eco-charcoal, we aim to sustainably improve the local environment and quality of life in Pobè.

The third phase of the project focuses on the purchase and installation of two biodigesters at the heart of Pobè, cassava processing. A biodigester is a system that transforms organic waste into biogas and fertilizer, thus contributing to sustainable waste management. These installations will not only reduce waste, but also provide a source of renewable energy and natural fertilizer for crops.
We will train 10 women from the community on the effective use of biodigesters. This training will cover the operating principles, the collection and preparation of organic waste, as well as the regular maintenance of the installations. Participants will acquire practical skills that will allow them to maximize the benefits of these systems.
The goal is to improve women’s economic empowerment while promoting sustainable waste management practices. Through these biodigesters, we hope to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, promote sustainable agriculture, and improve the quality of life in the Pobè community.
