The project will be set in Sri Lanka in a place called ‘Unawatuna’ on the 15th February 2014. Unawatuna is thought to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It was however devastated by the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami. The village and its tourist industry were destroyed, and along with about 500 lives were taken by the sea. Even with all the rebuilding in some parts of Unawatuna, the Tsunami continues to haunt the villagers. After much pleading, the main road to the village and the beach including the parts of road close to the sea are being renovated by the marine protection authority. A section of this road has a blank wall of approximately 200 meters built to protect it. What already happend 2008, we would like to repeat again ,because the wall is nowadays realy in a bad state. We aim to paint this wall again in the same topic: "Sea". We invite famous artists from Sri Lanka, local school children, villagers and anyone that wants to be a part of this to paint the wall. Therefore we need financial support. It would be great if could collect 1500 CHF, for the pre work of the wall, the paint and brushes, garbage bags, lunch for the kids and a small gift for them. But because there is not much time left we decided to anounce 1000 CHF but we wont be able to pay for the food and drinks and the gifts for the kids. So please help us to get the amount of 1500 CHF

This Project was a concept by Sri Lankan Artist Timothy Barco 2008. (www.timothybarco.com). After the Tsunami he supported many non-governmental organization which worked on projects with children throw out Sri Lanka. After 5 years the wall is now badly damaged. The love for the country, the people and the nature brought Timothy Barco and Nina Wehrli together to organize a second round, to influence the beloved place by art and to educate children at the same time about the topic sea.
