Maillardos
Café & Roastery
We would like to invite you on this special journey with us and become a part of this dream, because only together can we make it a reality!
We want to bring something unique to Rheineck, a 3000-inhabitant city and its surrounding regions in the Ostschweiz, by creating a place where high quality coffee is being roasted and prepared for the local market. With that, an atmosphere is being created which increases the value and the culture of coffee and the people behind it. This Place, a combination of a Roastery and Café, shall be called ‘Maillardos’.
In order to open Maillardos, we need your support. In return you will directly benefit through giveaways or ‘Goodies’, according to your investment.
If the needed amount of CHF 30’000 doesn't come together after the set time, all the money received will be reimbursed to you (minus third party fees).

Raquel was born and raised in Costa Rica, where she graduated as Bachelor in journalism and specialist in marketing/communication. In the year 2014, she also completed a barista education in “La Máquina de Café” in Costa Rica. In Switzerland she currently works as an independent photographer for weddings & events.
The core of their hearts with Maillardos is justice. Using the coffee shop as a platform to make the difference in the way coffee is appreciated. Starting with the behind-the-scenes of coffee, choosing carefully the suppliers, and giving to the farmers the worth they deserve - which is sadly often forgotten and overpowered by the bigger participants in the business. Secondly, to always pursue high quality of coffee through fresh roasting and preparation.
